So we thot we'd be attending the MRSMT Jubli Perak thingie.. unfortunately there was a family matter to attend to so we FFK-ed. Then, this morning getting ready to have breakfast in Hollywood (Canning Garden), I thot maybe we should just go to taiping and just see what's left of the 3 day event. OH agreed. (take a rain check ya nur...) so right after Hamidia (there weren't any parking spaces in hollywood) we drove to Taiping. It was already 12noon when we reached there, the guards directed us to the Taiping Golf Resort, everyone that's left are all there, he said. 15mins later we were there but couldn't seem to find anyone at the lobby. Plenty of cars but no one who could pass as an old schoolmate was seen. So we called one of the seniors who we know attended the whole event. He's already on his way home coz those ppl that's left are the avid golfers. We kinda just missed them. Hehe.. half expected this to happen already. nvm. We proceeded with jalan2 around Taiping.. braving the hot hot sun.
The first thing we discovered is this fresh looking condotel with swimming pool and RM15 hi-tea buffet in Taiping Golf Resort. There's waterfall less than a kilometer from here.
Then drove around town looking for doli kueytiau. It used to be in the market but now it has moved to the shoplots opposite Klinik Kesihatan Taiping. I can't say for sure whether or not the quality is still the same coz this is the first time I had it but Terry sez it has gone down. I think it's pretty good, maybe even better than the one in stadium ipoh. However, RM8 for a plate of kueytiau special is kinda steep i think. Nasi ayam is... so-so
Dropped by one of the kedai cucur in changkat jering on the way back and we never ever missed the opportunity to savour freshly deep fried, sweet, oily, crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside cucuq pendiram. Yummehhh!!!
